After a career in investment banking, Malou retrained at KLC School of Design in Chelsea, gaining experience in the industry through work placements at various renowned design practices as well as through private design commissions for residential clients, resulting in the launch of MiP in 2009.

Innovative combinations of texture, pattern and/or accent colors are used to achieve the desired atmosphere, adding lighting schemes and incorporating existing pieces whenever needed.

Malou strongly believes that the end result of each project should reflect the client’s personal style, be mindful of their future needs and complement the architecture and original features of a property.

Her design approach is practical with family homes a specialty. Typically, different design and space planning concepts, together with detailed budgets are presented before a final scheme will be agreed with the client.
